About Pyrrhic Relations

Pyrrhic Relations is a card game about working for your friendly neighborhood PR company and helping some extremely "responsible" corporations manage their public image.

Your job is to greenwash your clients, sway public opinion, and keep suspicious journalists and activists from making your corporate overlords live's more difficult.

Each PR job is a card. Play enough of them to hit your quota for the round. Playing cards also levels them up, making them more powerful as the game goes on.

You're usually juggling several clients at once, and your decisions can come back to bite you later. Keep hitting your quotas, keep the journalists under control, and watch the effects unfold from a high-rise with a beautiful view.

Pyrrhic Relations was made for Floodlight Gaming's Investigative Journalism Game Jam and was inspired by real investigative reporting, including work by DeSmog.

How to Play

1. Check your clients and the PR quota for the round.
2. Read your cards and decide which jobs to take.
3. Play cards to shift public opinion and hit your quota.
4. Keep your suspicion and pollution counters from hitting 100 to keep playing.
