Frequently Asked Questions
Account
How do I create an account?
Click the Sign Up button in the top right corner. You'll need an email, a password, and a username — that username is how you appear in games, and you can sign in with it later. Check your email for the confirmation link, then sign in.
Can I sign in with my username?
Yes. On the sign-in page, enter either your username or your email plus your password.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login page, click "Forgot password" and enter your email. You'll receive a link to reset your password.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account settings and scroll to the bottom. Click "Delete Account" and confirm. This is permanent and may permanently remove Drive files, Idea Boards, Kanban boards, and other Tool data you own. Export anything you need first.
Supporter
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Account > Subscription and click "Manage Subscription". From there you can cancel, and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Supporter subscriptions are donations that help me keep making games. I don't offer refunds as a rule, but if you subscribed by mistake, email me at riverforgegames@gmail.com and I'll help sort it out.
Tools
What are Idea Board, Kanban, and Drive?
Idea Board is a collaborative infinite canvas for game planning. Kanban is a task board with columns, attachments, and invites. Drive is private cloud storage with folders, sharing, trash, and in-browser docs. All include a free tier; Supporter raises limits and removes ads.
How do these compare to other whiteboards and cloud drives?
Idea Board covers freeform whiteboard workflows tuned for game design. Kanban covers task tracking. Drive covers the familiar cloud-folder workflow for assets and docs. They are built as a one-stop toolkit for indie game developers — not separate enterprise products.
Do I need Supporter to use Tools?
No. Free accounts get 1 Idea Board (1 GB images), 1 Kanban board (1 GB attachments), can join 1 free-owned shared board of each, and get 5 GB of Drive. Supporter raises Idea Board and Kanban to 20 boards / 5 GB each, Drive to 100 GB, and removes ads. Joining Supporter-owned boards does not use your free shared slot.
What happens if my Supporter subscription lapses?
You keep access within free-tier limits. Creating more boards or uploading past free storage is blocked until you re-subscribe or free space. Tool data may be permanently deleted after 30 days without an active Supporter subscription if you exceed free allowances long-term — export anything important before that window ends.
Are my Drive files and boards private?
Yes by default. Content is shared only with people you invite, or with anyone who has a public Drive link (or similar share option) you create. You are responsible for who you share with.
Should I back up my Tool data? Will you restore lost files?
Yes—keep your own copies of anything important. Tools are not a backup service, and I cannot guarantee recovery. Drive trash is purged after about 30 days, and Tool data on lapsed accounts may be purged after 30 days without an active subscription.
What are the storage limits?
Drive: 5 GB free or about 100 GB with Supporter (5 GB max per file). Idea Board: 1 board / 1 GB free, or about 20 boards / 5 GB with Supporter. Kanban: same limits as Idea Board for boards and attachment storage (tracked separately). 5 collaborators per board.
Games
Why won't a game load?
Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. Some games require WebGL support.
