Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using River Forge Games ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

River Forge Games provides a browser-based gaming platform where users can play games, create accounts, and optionally subscribe to Supporter features. Supporter features may include creative Tools such as Idea Board, Drive, and similar features I add over time. The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying me immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Supporter Subscriptions

Supporter subscriptions provide additional features as described on the Supporter page. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time, but no refunds will be provided for partial billing periods except as required by law.

5. Tools & User Content Storage

Idea Board, Drive, and similar Tools store content you create or upload on my infrastructure (databases and object storage), subject to quotas and eligibility rules.

• Creating and editing owned Tool content typically requires an active Supporter subscription. If the owner's subscription lapses, boards and Drive may become read-only or block new uploads and edits.
• Tool data on accounts without an active Supporter subscription (including lapsed or expired plans) may be permanently purged after 30 days without an active subscription. Export anything you need before that window ends.
• You are responsible for who you invite and for any public or share links you create. Collaborators and anyone with a link you share may access content according to the permissions you set.
• Items in Drive trash are permanently deleted after about 30 days. Unused Idea Board images and similar assets may be purged after a short grace period.
• Terminating or deleting an account can permanently remove Tool data you own.

6. No Backup; Data Loss

Tools are a convenience for creative work and file storage. They are not a backup, archive, or disaster-recovery service.

• You are solely responsible for exporting and keeping your own copies of anything important.
• I do not guarantee durability, availability, integrity, or recovery of files, boards, documents, or metadata.
• Data may be lost, corrupted, or deleted due to bugs, outages, maintenance, third-party provider failures, human error, abuse, retention policies (including lapsed-subscription and trash purges), account actions, or discontinuation of the Service or any Tool.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use cheats, exploits, or automation software
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload malware, illegal content, or content you do not have rights to share
• Abuse storage, sharing, invites, or public links
• Access or modify others' boards or folders without permission

8. Intellectual Property and User Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by River Forge Games and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you create or upload in Tools (such as Drive files and Idea Board documents), subject to these Terms. You grant me a non-exclusive license to host, process, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate and improve the Service—including showing it to collaborators you invite and to people who open share links you create. You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and share that content.

Feedback and other content you submit is yours, but you grant me a non-exclusive license to use it to operate and improve the Service. You can unsubscribe from game update emails at any time from your account or the link in those emails.

9. Termination

I may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that I believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties. Termination may result in deletion of Tool content you own.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, River Forge Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of data, content, or profits; inability to access or use Tools; or damages arising from sharing links or collaborator access—resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

I reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. I will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
