About Comets

Comets is a free browser asteroid survival game about shooting asteroids, chasing high scores, and trying not to get absolutely wrecked by the giant comets flying through the screen.

Fly around, shoot asteroids, and avoid the occasional enormous fiery ball of death hurtling towards you at blazing speeds.

Comets cannot be destroyed, and they shove away everything in their path, turning a peaceful asteroid belt into a pot boiling over.

How long will you survive?

How to Play

1. Fly around the asteroid field and shoot anything that looks dangerous.
2. Larger asteroids break into smaller pieces when you hit them.
3. When COMET INCOMING appears, pay attention to the warning and get out of its path.
4. Survive the comet, clear the remaining asteroids, and move on to the next wave.
5. You have three lives. See how long you can last and how high you can push your score.

Controls

• A / D or ← / → — Rotate
• W or ↑ — Thrust
• Space — Shoot
• Esc — Return to the menu

You can also navigate menus with the mouse or ↑/↓.

What Makes It Different

Unlike a traditional asteroid shooter, enormous comets periodically tear through the asteroid field, scattering everything in their path.

Comets is completely free to play in your browser with no download, no account required, no energy/wait timers, and no annoying ad breaks interrupting gameplay.
